Welcome to Millennium Minneapolis

Millennium Minneapolis stands as a solid choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. With a respectable rating of 3.6, this hotel strikes a balance between approachable luxury and practical amenities. Located at 1313 Nicollet Mall, guests benefit from easy access to the Minneapolis Convention Center, vibrant dining scenes, and cultural landmarks like the Walker Art Center and Target Field, all within a short walk or quick ride via downtown transit.

Guests repeatedly praise the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms. Alexandra Retzer’s experience highlights the unexpected delight of walking into full suites with separate living areas, fresh linens, and comfortable king-size beds. This sentiment is echoed by David Mackay, who lauds the hotel not only for its accommodating and warm service but also for its suitability as a memorable events venue, evidenced by his ongoing family tradition. The lighting and views, often described as superb, add a calm and inviting atmosphere, which further enhances the overall stay.

The hotel caters well to business travelers and conference groups, with amenities geared toward business needs, reflecting its popular status among corporate guests. Julie Foltz emphasizes the hotel’s strategic location for convention attendees and appreciates the friendly, helpful front desk staff. While some reviews note minor dated elements in room design or limited service offerings, the essence of comfort and practicality remains intact.

Quietness is a notable feature. Ian points out that the hotel’s blackout curtains and peaceful environment make it a restful retreat amidst downtown bustle. However, some guests mention challenges such as restricted front door access and spotty WiFi connectivity, especially important for those balancing work and relaxation.

Beyond lodging, Millennium Minneapolis offers unique experiences such as its dome dining events, which Jenna C describes as exceptional and warmly hosted, turning a simple night out into a memorable occasion. On-site amenities like the heated swimming pool with accessibility features provide a welcome oasis for guests.

Ultimately, Millennium Minneapolis delivers more than just a stay—it offers a grounded, understated experience that merges comfortable accommodations with a prime urban location. It is a place that welcomes both longtime visitors and first-timers with warmth and reliability, an appealing option for travelers who value clean, quiet rooms and easy access to Minneapolis’s rich cultural and business offerings.

For the price we paid this was far more than expected. Was assuming it would be a regular, studio style room with king bed but we walked into a full on suite with living room, bedroom, bathroom and walk in closet. Room was very clean and linens fresh and comfy. Would stay again for sure. View was also nice.

My wife and I chose the Millennium as our wedding venue 10 years ago. Just yesterday my wife and I went back there to celebrate our anniversary. Beronica, and her team ensured we had yet another unforgettable experience!! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The lighting, views and amenities are superb. I would recommend the Millennium to anyone who’d be staying in Minneapolis.

The rooms are great, and the king size beds are very comfortable. Black out curtains and the place is extremely quite. The location is great. A short walk through the park to the Walker Art Center, plus the hotel is right downtown. It’s a half hour walk to Target Field, but the free downtown bus services takes you to within a five minute stroll if you’d rather. The bad: They offer next to no services. No room service, no housekeeping, no towel or coffee replacement. You have to ask the front desk for everything, and then they only do it half-way decent. The restaurant is always empty, but there’s a great diner right next door. Coffee to take out is $5 a cup, and it’s yuck. The parking is outrageously expensive. It’s the least expensive place to stay downtown, however, so it’s worth it for the price, location, and the clean comfortable bed.

If I had only went by some of the reviews online, I may have given second thoughts to staying there. Fortunately I didn’t. Our room was clean, the bed was beyond comfortable. Their late check out (12:00) was more than appreciated. Since we were in town for one night and we’re at a concert, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy any other amenities, but being able to have convenient parking, close to the venue, and the friendly but professional staff, that was more than enough for us.

We did not stay at the hotel, we had dinner in the dome for their Valentine’s day weekend event. It was glorious!! Parked in the parking garage (no elevators), usually $35 but was validated for the event. Concierge directed us to the elevators and we went up to the dome floor. We were greeted warmly the moment we got off the elevator and our coats were checked for us. They brought us to our set table, laid out with chocolate roses and very romantic decor, as well as bread and water. I didn’t realize how intimate/small it would be, only about 8 tables and our time slot had some no-shows so it was just us and one other couple. I thought it was nice that way, lots more interaction with the band (who did a great job setting the mood). Incredible views, ambience immaculate. Attentive servers who catered to and anticipated our needs. I hope the word spreads about their events! I think they’re planning on hosting more so keep an eye out.

Stayed for a large conference, that the hotel handled very well. Our group often took over the lounge and lobby areas, and the staff seemed to accommodate us very well. Location was excellent, lots to eat in the area. All the pubs nearby accept minors. The only complaint I have is that the in room WIFI was almost unusable, and they wanted money to upgrade it. But I was so busy with my conference, I hardly needed it. But it would have been nice at night to settle in and watch a YouTube video.

The room was basic, kind of dated, but clean and comfy (though I couldn't adjust the room temp). Front desk was kind and helpful. A perfect location for conference attendance at the Minneapolis Convention Center. (And a perfect diner just around the corner!)

Had a really nice time. It was kind of frustrating that the front doors were locked even upon check-in, so somebody had to let us in. But it was a nice, quiet, uneventful stay that I thoroughly enjoyed. The swimming pool area was well received. I was glad to see there was a lift assist in it. It was heated as well. We had a nice view and my friend said it was a good deal.
